Welcome to the Henderson Home chronicles.

I got tired of the old site’s style; like a room from 1982, the decor had grown dated. Also, I was sick of having to program everything by scratch. I program for work, for Pete’s sake; why should I do it just to have to share some pictures?

So, I started investigating different blogging tools to install on my home server. The requirements were easy:

1. It has to be free
2. It should be easy to use
3. It can’t cost any money.
4. I need the posts to be easy to maintain
5. Must be free

I settled on the services of Blogger. It’s posting to my own server (so I can back things up as I see fit), it looks nice, and it’s easy to use.

Oh, yeah, and it’s free.

So, when I get a few free (as in available) moments, I’ll start putting up the family pictures…
